USI & Survey Information

National Centre For Vocational Education and Research (NCVER) – survey

Participants may expect to receive an invitation from NCVER to seek their views on learning, education and training. Participants are expected to co-operate with the regulator and government departments when contacted and asked to participate in the survey relating to their training.

Unique Student Identifier

From 1 January 2015 if you are undertaking nationally recognised training delivered by a registered training organisation you will need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This includes studying at TAFE or with a private training organisation, completing an apprenticeship or skill set, certificate or diploma course.

When enrolling with Western Business School, we will ask for your consent to create a USI on your behalf.

The USI Transcript Service was activated on 22 May 2017. USI account holders can now use their USI to access their national training record online in the form of a USI Transcript.  You can allow us, your training provider to view your transcript online by logging into your USI account.  Details of how you can give access can be found here, www.usi.gov.au/give permission  or download the fact sheet.

The USI Transcript currently holds the following training data from the National VET collections:

  • 2015, 2016 and 2017 annual data
  • 2018-First, Second and Third Quarter (Jan-Sep)

For more information about the USI click here
